We are U.S. Citizens so we do not need a passport to travel to the United States neither U.S citizens traveling to Puerto Rico. (https://www.usa.gov/visit-territories)

The currency used in Puerto Rico is the U.S. dollar.


  • How big is Puerto Rico?

The island territory is 100 miles long and 35 miles wide (8,870 square kilometers) being the population of Puerto Rico 2.8 million.

We are a mixture of three races: Indian (Taino), Spanish (European) and black (African).

The island was inhabited by the Tainos when the Spanish arrived. The Spaniards brought African slaves to work in the sugar and coffee plantations of the island and that is where the fusion of these three races took place, resulting in the Puerto Ricans.
